Redemption
The Block
The Block
The Block is Redemption's classic espresso blend with notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut, complemented by a touch of dried fruit sweetness reminiscent of raisins. Sourced from Brazil and Nicaragua, its rich, creamy body shines as an espresso, both on its own and with milk.
The Brazilian beans come from the Ipanema estates, Conquista and Capoeirinha farms in southern Minas Gerais, where environmental sustainability and economic transparency are priorities. The Nicaraguan component, San Ramon, is grown within the Dipilto mountain range, a protected nature reserve near the border with Honduras.

About Redemption

Get To Know
Redemption Roasters
This specialty coffee company is a social enterprise who believes coffee can help reduce reoffending in the UK. Starting with a small roastery inside HMYOI Aylesbury, they’ve now expanded to a commercial-scale operation in HMP The Mount, a Category C men’s prison. Here, they employ up to five prison residents at a time, providing hands-on training in coffee roasting, production, and logistics.

All About
Sustainability
Redemption Roasters are out to show that exceptional coffee can come from unexpected people and places, focusing on empowering those who are often overlooked. Every step of their coffee sourcing emphasizes economic and environmental sustainability. Partnering with Caravela, they ensure farmers are paid upfront and receive on-the-ground support to boost yields and lower carbon emissions. They also champion female coffee producers to help drive gender equality.

Redemption Roasters
Prison Roastery
In their roastery inside HMP The Mount, they do more than just roast coffee—they employ up to five prison residents, teaching them valuable skills in roasting, production, and logistics. This hands-on experience builds confidence and self-esteem, while their pay, which is above the standard prison rate, includes a portion set aside for release. This gives them a financial boost to support their reintegration into society.
