Monte Alban Decaf
Monte Alban Decaf
This decaf coffee featuring white sugar, dried dates and caramel notes is grown in the mountains near the ancient Zapotec ruins of Monte Albán.
The coffee is grown by certified organic farmers who rely on traditional farming techniques, avoiding chemicals and creating their own organic compost. By refining their harvesting practices to focus on optimal ripeness and extending fermentation times from 8 to 24–40 hours (adjusted for weather and fermentation medium), they achieve a fruitier, more complex coffee profile.

Get To Know
Redemption Roasters
This specialty coffee company is a social enterprise who believes coffee can help reduce reoffending in the UK. Starting with a small roastery inside HMYOI Aylesbury, they’ve now expanded to a commercial-scale operation in HMP The Mount, a Category C men’s prison. Here, they employ up to five prison residents at a time, providing hands-on training in coffee roasting, production, and logistics.

All About
Sustainability
Redemption Roasters are out to show that exceptional coffee can come from unexpected people and places, focusing on empowering those who are often overlooked. Every step of their coffee sourcing emphasizes economic and environmental sustainability. Partnering with Caravela, they ensure farmers are paid upfront and receive on-the-ground support to boost yields and lower carbon emissions. They also champion female coffee producers to help drive gender equality.

Redemption Roasters
Prison Roastery
In their roastery inside HMP The Mount, they do more than just roast coffee—they employ up to five prison residents, teaching them valuable skills in roasting, production, and logistics. This hands-on experience builds confidence and self-esteem, while their pay, which is above the standard prison rate, includes a portion set aside for release. This gives them a financial boost to support their reintegration into society.
